(This week’s walk) Through my lens…

Harrison Street – Alley corner behind Siskiyou Blvd.
Song Shot: “Piano Man” Sung by Billy Joel

The idea behind (This week’s walk) Through my lens… is that I’ve been huffin’ and a hoofin’ around the hills and streets of Ashland (and other places) on a regular exercise-driven basis for years, and I have always seen things I wanted to photograph. (But my walk-a steep-hill-hope for a nicer butt-workouts have never included bringing my Nikon along for the climb.)

Enter power-walking to music on my iPhone.

These are iPhone 3 camera photos – and whatever song I happened to be listening to at the time I was inspired to stop walking and (literally) act like a photographer panting to get the shot. I hope you like them. I hope you like the music. I hope the combination makes you happy occasionally (like it did me), and I hope you’ll tell me about your reactions.

About Martha Phelps Studio ~ creative on purpose

...a meandering journal of a changing life and the unexpected graces it brings. Earlier posts may provide some history, but this series of writings aren't likely to follow a straight line as I explore topics such as raising kids, making choices, self discovery, the impact of change on a family and how to (hopefully) live with balance and purpose. www.marthaphelps.com
