Dear photo-taking, poem pulling, paintbrush chewing self….

It’s been awhile.

And though there’s a lot I could share about what it’s been like to bump right up against you day after day with little more than a nod from you in my direction, I’ll say only this: Despite proximity, I was starting to think you couldn’t be much further away.

It’s good to know I was wrong; it’s good to know you never really went that far,

and damn – it’s good to see you again.

Futher – as related to figurative distance (vs “farther” which relates to physical distance – like points on a map). Definition: At, to, or by a greater distance (used to indicate the extent to which one thing or person is or becomes distant from another).

About Martha Phelps Studio ~ creative on purpose

...a meandering journal of a changing life and the unexpected graces it brings. Earlier posts may provide some history, but this series of writings aren't likely to follow a straight line as I explore topics such as raising kids, making choices, self discovery, the impact of change on a family and how to (hopefully) live with balance and purpose. www.marthaphelps.com
